Fearless Mentoring for Organizational Success
Presented by Clark State Community College
Last fall, Dr. Jo Alice Blondin, President of Clark State Community College, implemented a mentoring program with the goal of identifying and creating leaders within her organization. That program is called SOAR- Serving Our Own through Leadership and Retention. The program was designed to create personal and professional growth opportunities – which create stronger, more prepared leaders that will enhance the organization. Additionally, the program focuses on developing leaders at the individual, team and system levels as well as empowering co-workers of participants to become “implementers of change” at all levels.
Through the implementation of the inaugural SOAR class, Dr. Blondin and participants learned what is necessary to create and launch a successful mentoring program within an organization.
During this session, participants will learn:
- How mentorship can enhance an organization
- Best practices when creating a mentorship program
- How mentorship can enhance organizational culture
