Ann Riegle-Crichton is the Business Services Librarian for the Dayton Metro Library. But she is far from the stereotypical reference librarian you might imagine. She describes herself as a matchmaker, connecting entrepreneurs, business owners and job seekers to resources, people or organizations that can help them take the next step on their professional journey. Spending very little time behind a reference desk, Ann does her best work at Chamber of Commerce meetings, economic development forums, job fairs and community meetings.
Riegle-Crichton is an active member of Women in Business Network (WiBN) and serves as a member of the Lunch and Learn Leadership team. She is a vocal supporter of the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce where she was recognized as a Volunteer of the Quarter in 2018. Her efforts to support workforce development programs at Miami Valley’s Community Action Partnership were also recognized with an Outstanding Partner Award in 2018. Ann was elected as Chapter Chair for Dayton SCORE in 2018, the first woman to ever hold that position. Members of SCORE praise her energy and enthusiasm for the work SCORE does to support small business in the region.
